Tim goes to see Shane and Miranda at the Dude ranch because he doesn’t to repeat the mistakes he made by not being in Lou and Amy’s lives growing up, but they have gone. Amy and Ty ride in sleigh pulled by Clydesdales.

Jack and Tim have a heart to heart. Jack tells Tim that he was like a son to him until he broke Marion’s heart. Tim then tells Jack that once he realized that Scott was going to win the Hudson Derby he slowed down so Jack could catch up. Jack said, “Like hell you will!”, and starts chasing Tim.  Amy and Ty are on the horses that Tim and Jack raced. They take off racing each other.

The song comes back on @42 min. Lou is telling Peter about her pregnancy scare. Amy and Ty are at the stables. Ty tells Amy about the wolf.

Mallory is showing Jake and Peter the slide show she has made for Ty’s going away party. Amy is at the airport waiting for Ty and Scott. She is told they have lost radio contact with the plane. The scene shows trees cut off at the top and pans down to  play broken into pieces in the wilderness.

After Pegasus passed away from Strangles, Jack gives Tim his saddle.  Amy is standing at the kitchen window before the memorial for Pegasus. Ty walks in and apologizes for seeming to take Kit’s side. Amy tells him, it’s okay, she understands. Ty says it’s not okay, that Amy is the most important person in his life and he wants her to know that he is always in her side.

Ty’s pickup breaks down on the way to the dance. Ty turns on the radio with this song playing. He picks up Amy and puts her in the bed of his truck and asks her to dance. As they are dancing, Ty tells Amy he has something for her and gives her a promise ring.

Amy and Ty’s relationship is still on a “break” so that Amy can figure out what she really wants to do with her life.  Tim told Amy to promise him that if she can’t see her life without someone, if that’s Ty or someone else, that she will fight for it.  

 The song starts at 41:56.  Ty just saw that he missed a call from Amy and he left her a message. Amy rode up on her horse. Amy told Ty that it sounds like he is doing great and Ty answered “I am” and told her he had to go. Amy rides off crying.
