Moving to grandpa's house, Jr. and mom are in the car. They pause to visit Uncle Charlie.

Jr. notices the girls jumping on the bed as he strolls around the house.

Everyone is eating and listening to the radio at breakfast. To put an end to it, Aunt Ruth abruptly pushes the radio off the shelf.

JR tries to tell his father, who he hears on the radio, that his mother needs more money.

While at a party, Wesley is telling JR a story from Venice. After they meet, JR walks Sidney home.

Love scene when parents can hear them

Sidney heads back home and concentrates on his studies after splitting up with JR.

JR is getting advice from Charlie on how to get Sidney back.

After JR obtains a job at The New York Times and Charlie encourages him to stop following Sidney and let her come to him.

JR begins drinking because he is disappointed that Sidney isn't returning to him.

When JR call the police after his dad, "The Voice' is drunk and abusues the woman of the house

JR finds out his mom landed a job. To enable him to go to Manhattan, Uncle Charlie gives him the keys to his vehicle.
