Songs Timeline

The song can be heard on the movie's opening credits. Jodi and Dunkle provide an overview of Tall Girl, the first film.

Jodi enters her school with self-assurance. She is now fearless in her attempts to inspire others.

After gathering her courage, Jodi goes to the school play auditions.

Harper is telling her family that she is relocating to Los Angeles and starting a new job.

Jodi's first acting role has her and her boyfriend celebrating.

Jodi is feeling like an impostor as she brushes her teeth because of the voice in her head.

In the previous scene, Kimmy asked her best friend to make Jodi look bad during the first rehearsal. Schnip ends their friendship because he is fed up with doing her dirty work.

Fareeda is asked to bring some of her clothes to sell in the shop by a woman who appears to be the owner of the establishment they are in.

Dunkle's family is taken aback when Stig's sister moves in with them during lunch.

Tommy asked Jodi to dance with him there and explained to her why he was insecure.

When Jodi and Dunkel split up, Stella discovers her boyfriend is having an extramarital affair. Stella and Dunkel form an alliance and head out for a picture.

The celebration for Fareeda's birthday has begun, but Jodi is running behind schedule due to rehearsals.

In the previous scene, Schnip tells Kimmy that he is pleased with her for helping Jodi. Everyone at the party is now singing Fareeda a happy birthday.

At Fareeda’s birthday celebration, she signs herself and Stig for Karaoke to help him conquer his fear of singing in public.

When Dunkle invited Stig to spend the summer with him in the previous scene, Stig happily agreed.

Stella approaches Jodi when they have some alone time to talk and asks Dunkle to assist her with her ex-boyfriend.

This is the second end credits song.

Jodi responds "maybe" after Dunkle asks her to date him in a treasured paper from their childhood. She agreed this time around. Then they get up and dance. This is the first end credits song.

Following her performance, Jodi and Dunkle reconciled in the previous scene. Now the celebration her parents organized for her began.
