The song transitions felt awkward at times, leaning heavily into the Broadway adaptation during songs but quickly backing away afterward. Missing some cut songs, especially from Celie and Shug's arc, was a letdown. Still, enjoyed the movie, and Fantasia nailed it! Her version of "I'm Here" will be on repeat, making me tear up every time.

Ok I'm not alone in feeling like something was missing when Shug left with Celie, right? 🤔
