I'm sure that the theatrical release and/or the DVD release (maybe even the TV showing) plays a different song at the start of the film.... One is 'its the end of the world as we know it - and cant think of the other one anyone else confirm this or confirm my madness??

During the movie as soon as the aliens are arriving there are some kids playing basket ball on the courts a kid in a yellow tank top the are listening to the radio who sings the rap song that’s playing it’s about 21 minuets and 49 seconds in, in the 1996 version of the movie
